How to start a house cleaning business with little capital

First off, before you decide to start your cleaning business, make sure that this kind of work is right for you. Cleaning is very hard strenuous work. You must have good customer relationship skills. You must have basic office skills and some accounting skills.

If you plan on leaving your full-time position to a cleaning business start-up, make sure at least six months of savings. Or keep your full time job and start part-time.

Research all aspects of the cleaning service business. From customer service, advertising, taxes, employees, insurance and bonding, and how to calculate what a house cleaning professional. Cleaning your own home and cleaning professionally is totally different. Learning how to clean professionally takes time. Getting the first clients takes time, patience and persistence.

During cleaning, the first houses go for quality, not how fast you can view the property clean. Cleaning efficiently takes a long time, but you are up to the point where you can do a thorough cleaning in a short time to get. Impress the first customers and word of mouth to spread quickly.

Advertising your company image is everything. Before you start advertising, decide what image you want to display on your advertising. If you continue advertising with the same logo and colors.

Advertise in Local Paper: Start by adding a text ad in your local newspaper. Do not sell your services on low prices, sell your services on your quality of work and what to do for the customers that other companies do not. There are a lot of competition in the cleaning.

What Charge As already mentioned, you should sell your services on your quality of work and not your low prices. If your prices are too low, the customer will think that your work is sub standard and that you are not experienced. You also want the customer to provide your services to be able to win. Cleaning is hard work, charge what you’re worth. Some companies charge per hour, some charge by the room, some charge a flat rate per home and some charge by the square foot. If a customer knows they have to pay a set fee, they do not, if you take 2 hours or 5 hours. Your customers will know what they are paying at the front and will not worry about additional costs.
